Chili

2 cups small red beans (dry)
1 quart Tomatoes
1 pound Hambuger meat
1 package Chili seasoning

Pour bean into crockpot and cover well with water (be sure to add plenty of water). Add cooked hambuger meat, Tomatoe and chili seasoning. Cook on low over night to cook beans. Ready to serve.

Jen, I love chili and I love to use beans in all sorts of things. Did you know that you can make the beans less 'musical' by draining off the soaking or cooking water, rinsing them, then adding flavoring. The nutrients are inside so the drain and rinse doesn't delete their nutrition. Also, adding salt when you cook them can prevent them (old ones especially) from softening. Instead, throw in a clove or two of pressed garlic.
